Terms of Service

1. Parties and Acceptance

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of the Veilleo platform ("Service"), operated by Cueff Pierre - Alain Philippe, 12 Rue de Brest, 29600 Morlaix, France ("we", "us", "our").

By creating an account or using the Service, you ("User", "you") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

If you are using the Service on behalf of a business entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity.

2. Description of Service

Veilleo is a competitor intelligence platform that provides automated monitoring and structured alerts about competitors' websites, including pricing, product, content, SEO, and promotional changes.

In the current MVP version, monitoring results are generated as representative sample data ("Demo Data") derived from publicly available information and deterministic algorithms. The Service does not yet perform live, real-time scraping of external websites. This is clearly disclosed within the platform.

We reserve the right to modify, update, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Notify us immediately at admin@veilleo.com if you suspect unauthorized access.

You may not share your account credentials with others or create multiple accounts to circumvent plan limits. One account per person or business entity.

Accounts are personal or organizational, not transferable.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws, including EU and French data protection law.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the platform, other users' accounts, or backend systems.
• Use automated tools to abuse the Service, including excessive API calls, credential stuffing, or denial-of-service attacks.
• Submit false, misleading, or harmful content through any form on the platform.
• Resell, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize the Service or its outputs without prior written permission.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service.
• Use the Service to monitor individuals' personal activities rather than legitimate business competitors.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice where required for security or legal compliance.

5. Sample / Demo Data

The current version of the Service provides representative sample competitor intelligence derived from a deterministic algorithmic model, not live real-time web crawling. Data labeled "sample monitoring data" or "demo data" is illustrative of what live monitoring would produce and is not real-time information about the competitor's current website state.

We make no warranty that sample alerts represent the actual current state of any competitor's website. You should not make business decisions based solely on sample data.

When live monitoring is activated in a future release, these terms will be updated accordingly.

6. Payment and Plans

The Service is currently offered on a plan basis as described on the Pricing page. Pricing and plan features are subject to change; we will provide reasonable notice of any changes affecting paid subscribers.

Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting us at admin@veilleo.com. Your access continues until the end of the current billing period. No further charges are made after cancellation.

Right of withdrawal (EU consumers): If you are a consumer resident in the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from a subscription contract within 14 days without giving any reason, provided that you have not yet accessed the core features of the Service. By creating an account and logging in, you expressly request that access to the Service begins immediately and acknowledge that this may affect your right of withdrawal for the portion of the Service already provided. Please contact us if you wish to exercise this right.

Refunds: Subscription fees already charged for a current billing period are generally non-refundable except where required by applicable law. We reserve the right to issue partial or full refunds at our discretion in exceptional circumstances. This policy does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer under EU or French law.

Taxes: All prices shown are exclusive of VAT unless otherwise stated. EU VAT rules may apply to your purchase depending on your location.

7. Intellectual Property

The Veilleo platform, including its code, design, and generated sample data templates, is the intellectual property of Cueff Pierre - Alain Philippe or its licensors, all rights reserved.

You retain ownership of any data you submit to the platform, including competitor URLs, notes, and contact information. You grant us a limited licence to process and store that data solely to provide the Service to you.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal data. It forms part of these Terms. By using the Service, you accept the Privacy Policy.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:

• The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or uninterrupted availability.
• Cueff Pierre - Alain Philippe is not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.
• Our total liability for any claim arising out of these Terms or use of the Service shall not exceed the amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under French or EU law.

EU consumer protection law may provide you with rights that cannot be excluded by contract. Nothing in these Terms affects those statutory rights.

10. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at admin@veilleo.com. We will delete your account and associated personal data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, fail to pay fees, or if we discontinue the Service, with reasonable notice except where immediate action is required for security or legal compliance.

On termination, your right to access the Service ends immediately.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify registered users by email or in-app notice at least 14 days before material changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of France. Any dispute arising in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of France, without prejudice to your rights as a consumer under your local applicable law.
